Queen Chrysalis G4 custom Pony w/ temp. Wings by Oak23 Queen Chrysalis G4 custom Pony w/ temp. Wings by Oak23
((WINGS ARE TEMPORARY I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO MAKE DECENT WINGS FOR HER WHEN I GET THE RIGHT MATERIAL, STOP MESSAGING ME ABOUT THEM))

Any ways, here is my Chrysalis custom painted up and all shiny. Can I just say she is IMPOSSIBLE to photograph because of how dark she is? Also her tail looks weird from any angle asides from the back, yes.

She is a molded Celestia body with a Fluttershy head, with an extended neck, and her hooves molded with milliput and had holes carved into them. The rest of the bits are also milliput and tears. I studied from the screencaps that she is indeed slightly taller than Celestia and is a head taller than Shining Armor so I used my Shining Armor as a reference. Her temporary wings are stolen from 3D glasses because I wanted a place holder for them.

She is definitely my most labour intensive, milliput laden and design complicated custom I have ever attempted and probably would not do ever again. Also her hair kept snapping off so she's definitely fragile and such.

I know that there's already a bunch of Chrysalis customs and I'll never match the speed or quality but hey, this was my personal project and I'm pretty chuffed at her.

I'll take more pics when I get her proper wings done.

Milliput and tears? Interesting...
It's definitely the bestest Chrysalis custom so far though! I like how you've kept her so skinny, I hate it when she's all fat. I mean, she's the most anorexic pony in the show.

Also, Fluttershy's head and Princess Celestia's body? Freaky...

This is my favorite Chrysalis so far. The holes are great, and the paint is especially good! >w<

Well, there were already a bunch of other customs of Chrysalis before I even got to this stage.

This one came out like a day after the episode: [link]

This one came out two days ago: [link]

And this one came out the day after: [link]

And this one as well: [link]

I certainly wasn't the first to custom my Chrysalis even though I'm pretty sure I'm the only one so far that has holes in her hooves. Good luck with your custom though :)

Sorry, for the late reply,I tend not to check DA very often(Making my way through nearly 5000 notifications oh my god)But yeah,I knew the fandom would work fast, but as you said, first one to cut actual holes through her feetsies, which is what I'm doing to a old gift pack Celestia I've had forever.Along with that, instead of the replacement wings you did,I'm cutting holes directly into her wings. Its not transparent, but its more sturdy.
Also real hair.Lots of work ahead.

First things first, WOO Milliput!

Secondly this is one of the best Chrysalis customs i've seen so far. Its damn near show accurate, well sculpted and really well painted. It doesn't matter how fast you do them, its the quality that counts and this has it in spades.

My only criticism (asided from the obvious) is that the tail is a bit flat. You also mentioned that the milliput if very brittle; have you tried mixing it with equal parts Green Stuff. It does wonders to the toughness by giving it that little bit of give when bent.
